Zadie Harlow, LCSW
Zadie is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker specializing in complex trauma, gender + sexuality, and neurodiversity. Zadie is passionate about building relationships with clients where they feel seen, heard, and valued. They invite vulnerability and value the importance of the therapeutic relationship. They received their Master’s in Social Work from the University of Tennessee College of Social Work in 2015 and have worked in a variety of community mental health settings, most recently with survivors of sexual trauma.
Zadie practices within an anti-carceral and anti-capitalist approach and believes that safety and trust are vital to the healing process. Zadie values the safety of the collective and challenging the pathology paradigm. Zadie honors the therapeutic relationship by showing up as a human first and a therapist second.
Zadie lives openly as a kinky, non-binary, neurodivergent, and polyamorous human. They celebrate your unique relationship structure and enjoy challenging cis-heteronormative expectations. You deserve joy and pleasure, and we are all capable of healing. Zadie is trained in DBT, Somatic & Attachment Focused EMDR (S.A.F.E EMDR), and utilizes a variety of somatic based approaches to help clients reconnect and understand their body cues.
When Zadie is not in session, they can be found playing video games (currently Palworld & Cyberpunk 2077), researching special interests, or watching tv and snuggling with their four kitties; Morpheus, Neo, Clove, and Cinder.
