Kiersten is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 15 years of experience as a trauma therapist. After receiving her Master’s in Social Work from NYU, she lived in New York City for 10 years working in schools and outpatient clinics, having fallen in love with the energy of the city. After moving to Nashville in 2016, Kiersten worked at the Sexual Assault Center as a therapist and supervisor, and most recently their Clinical Director, prior to opening Live Full Therapy in 2019. In addition to providing individual therapy, Kiersten is also passionate about providing supervision and consultation to fellow therapists.
Kiersten believes that connection is a vital piece of the healing process. She shows up to this work as a human being first, and therapist second. You can count on Kiersten to be compassionate yet honest with you, and also bring a sense of humor to sessions. She creates a space where clients can connect with themselves in new ways, and safely explore whatever is most needed. She is certified in EMDR, and is an EMDRIA Approved Consultant. She is also a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner. In addition to working with all types of trauma, as well as anxiety and relationship issues, a few of her specialty areas include working with LGBTQIA+ folks as well as creatives (artists, singer/songwriters, etc). She also loves working with fellow therapists and those in other helping professions.
Kiersten is licensed in both Tennessee and New York.
Kiersten loves traveling and adventuring, trying new Nashville restaurants with her husband and favorite people, spending time in her garden and on her back porch, and practicing yoga. A crucial part of her morning routine is a long walk with her pup Kennedy, while listening to an audiobook or podcast, prior to heading to the office.
